Art Exhibition - United Nations headquarters New York

In 2019, Stefan Balog, president of Inter Art - Foundation Aiud - Romania, formally asked me if I would accept the invitation to represent Monaco in a world premiere: an exhibition scheduled for April 2020 at the United Nations headquarters in New York, bringing together 193 artists representing the 193 member states of the UN, which was about to celebrate its 75th anniversary!
The theme was "United Nations: Symbol of Life, Joy, and Freedom."
A grand project to which I immediately embraced with pride and great pleasure! My painting of a white dove on black paper (artwork no. 19-269, "Let’s Follow the Light") was shipped shortly thereafter.
Unfortunately, Covid, with the lockdowns and the array of restrictive and liberty-curtailing measures that accompanied them, had ruined any possibility of holding such an event in 2020, or even in 2021. And even though Stefan held onto the hope that it would happen one day, I feared that this wonderful project had been buried…
Surprise! Five years later, on December 9, 2025, the inauguration of the exhibition “Intercontinental Art Exhibition: United Nations, 80 Years for Peace and Freedom” took place at the UN headquarters in New York for… the UN’s 80th anniversary! Featuring the works of 216 artists, and my white dove is on the wall. I spotted it immediately, of course!
